    Hi guys,

So we all know guest blogging has been proven to be quite effective. Some of you are probably doing this on a daily basis, some of you are probably still wondering how to do guest posting effectively. Here?s how I personally do it on a daily basis.

    Finding prospects

Most of you are probably familiar with Scrapebox already. So, what you wanna do is basically scrape these queries:

    Code:
    Keyword guest blogger wanted
    Keyword guest writer
    Keyword guest blog post writer
Keyword ?write for us? OR ?write for me?
    Keyword ?Submit a blog post?
    Keyword ?Become a contributor?
    Keyword ?guest blogger?
    Keyword ?Add blog post?
    Keyword ?guest post?
    Keyword ?Write for us?
    Keyword submit blog post
    Keyword ?guest column?
    Keyword ?contributing author?
    Keyword ?Submit post?
    Keyword ?submit one guest post?
    Keyword ?write for us?
    Keyword ?Suggest a guest post?
    Keyword ?Send a guest post?
    Keyword ?contributing writer?
    Keyword ?Submit blog post?
    Keyword inurl:contributors
    Keyword ?guest article OR post?
    Keyword add blog post
    Keyword ?submit a guest post?
    Keyword ?Become an author?
    Keyword submit post
Keyword ?submit your own guest post?
    Keyword ?Contribute to our site?
    Keyword magazines
    Keyword ?Submit an article?
    Keyword ?Add a blog post?
    Keyword ?Submit a guest post?
    Keyword ?Guest bloggers wanted?
    Keyword ?guest column?
    Keyword ?submit your guest post?
    Keyword ?guest article?
    Keyword inurl:guest*posts
    Keyword Become guest writer
    Keyword inurl:guest*blogger
Keyword ?become a contributor? OR ?contribute to this site?
Simply change the ?Keyword? with your terms. This should get you busy for a while.

    Outreach Process

I personally separate the sites into two categories. Tier 1: High authority websites and Tier 2: Your average Joes websites.

I would spend more time on Tier 1 websites. Why? Because it?s not easy to get a guest post on their website. You wanna build relationship with the webmaster first. You HAVE to be on their radar. You can?t just send them an email asking for a guest post. They?d be like, ?Who the heck is this guy???.

For Tier 1 sites, this is the process that I personally go through.

    - Twitter: Tweet their latest posts. Don?t just blindly spam tweet them. Have some insights on their posts
    - Blog comments: Leave insightful comments on their blogs
    - Help them: If they have some typos, broken links, etc. Basically, find ways to help them.

Now, here?s a sample of outreach email template that I personally use. Feel free to modify and/or use them.

    Code:
    Hi [Name],

I hope this email finds you well. I?ve been an avid reader of [Their Blog]. I personally enjoy [Their Post 1], [Their Post 2], [Their Post 3]. I think that they are [Your Insights].

    Anyhow, I thought I?d shoot you an email because I think I many have some topics that your audience would appreciate. Here they are;

    - [Topic 1]
    - [Topic 2]
    - [Topic 3]

I know you?re probably busy, so I?m gonna make an offer you can?t refuse ;). How about, I write it for you? Don?t your worry. I?ve written topics that are related to the above. You can find them on [Your previous post 1], [Your previous post 2], [Your previous post 3].

Please let me know if you?re interested or if you?d like to brainstorm some other ideas. I?d love to do that. I?m looking forward to hearing from you.

    Regards,
    [Your name]

Now, as for Tier 2 sites, if you saw their website on a forum or something or just happen to stumbled upon them when you were researching for guest posting opportunities, you can use this template (I use them).

    Code:
    Hi [Name],

I saw your blog on [where], so I thought I?d shoot you an email!

I can see that you have covered quite a lot of topics on [their most covered topics], so I thought I would throw some ideas. I have several ideas that I?m working. These would complement your current posts nicely. Here they are:

    - [Topic 1]
    - [Topic 2]
    - [Topic 3]

If you want to brainstorm some other ideas, I?d love to do that too. I look forward to hearing your feedback. Thank you.

    Best regards,
    [Your name]

I hope that helps you out. If you have any questions, feel free to post here. I?d be more than happy to help.

    Regards,

    Dennis727

Another edition of how to do guest posting.

Now, some of you might be wondering, ?how in the world do I come up with topics to pitch to these websites??. I got you guys covered too!

    1. Go to Ahrefs or OpenSiteExplorer, put in the target site, and click on ?Top Pages? (Ahres and OSE use the same word). You?ll see the following (Note: this is from OSE):

As you can see from the example above, out of 9 of the top linked pages, 5 of them are ?list? type of content. So, that means the owner LOVES lists. You can then go to UberSuggest.org and put in some random numbers + broad topics. For example, ?top 15 web development?, ?top 20 content marketing?, etc. You can then find which one you think would apply best to the targeted site. Don?t forget to check if the site has covered that topic or not.

    2. Topsy: This is an awesome tool. All you gotta do is simply put some keywords in and change the ?Latest Results? to ?All time?. You?ll get results similar to this:

    3. AllTop.com: This is another awesome tool. Your brain will have a lot of light-bulb moments. AllTop is basically an aggregator of popular content. It covers topics from A ? Z. I got the following results by entering 'Blogging' in the search bar.

So, there you have it. There is now way you cannot come up with topics to pitch to. Let me know if you need any help. I'd be more than happy to help. ;)

I have a problem when using email outreach in link building campaigns....

    1) I tried with a free yahoo account, it seems that more and more emails are getting in spam,
    2) Tried with my own domain based email address - the same results lately, more and more are getting into spam folder (server IP flagged for spam)
    3) Trying now with brand new Gmail.com (didn't want to use gmail for obvious reasons) and will try later with old establised Gmail.com account...

Any recommendations? Any recommendations? Or just use more and more new emails for each campaign? Seems ridiculous!

    Regards
    Combson

Thanks, Dennis 727! Your ideas are quite informative and inspiring. You know how I am searching for more new good content on the targeted sites. I just registered on popular topical forums, try to investigate the threads and look for more interesting ideas and problems the readers have. Most of people don't read the threads completely. I read all the interested threads and that it dawned on me great ideas and decisions how to write a friendly-oriented guest article.
Actually I wonder you know how to make guest post for yahoo? I really want to post there.
