    say you have an png which you want as a button

    1) import the png into your library

    2) create a new layer

    3) create a new keyframe in the timeline where you want your button to appear

    4) drag your png into this page - right click it and select convert to object

    5) choose button

    6) in your library of resources you will see a new object - your new button

    7) double click it and you will see your button in four stages.... here you can modify your button to give it a roll over effect alternatively you can simply add a keyframe for each stage...

    8) now go back to the main scene - click on your button and where you see the properties tab click on actions you need to add some actionscript...

    9) add the following:

    Code:
    on(release)
    {
    getURL("http://www.yourdomain.com","_self");
    }

    Change "_self" to "_blank" if you want the link to open in a new window...

    HTH

    Going from memory but that should be right... its actually a lot simpler to do than trying to explain it! :)

    Or when you make a button in flash:

    1: wright your text
    2: select it, press F8, choose button
    3: doubleclick on it, choose your over,down,hit state (by copying the original with F6 and then change color,movement or whatever)
    4: return to the timeline, select your button and press F9 and put:

    Code:
    on(release){
     getURL(http://www.yourdomainorlink.com, "_blank");
    }

    Or "_self" depends on you.

    5: export it
    6: open dreamweaver and import it where you want
