How to get youtube to increase website serps

I would like to know if you can get youtube videos to increase the serps on your website. My competitor has a lot of youtube videos embedded in his website. Has like over 200 youtube videos.

I know that you can drive traffic to your website with youtube but can you also increase your serp position somehow by embedding youtube videos.

So I guess youtube is not going to increase you websites serps.

nope, that's not the essence of increasing the serp of your website, otherwise you make youtube popular because the videos are owned by youtube.

YouTube videos on your site aren't gonna help your SERP really. However if he's adding lots of videos all of the time fresh content can help, especially if there are new key phrase friendly pages for each video added.

YT videos are also good because they naturally rank well in Google so you can make videos for long tail keywords related to your main search phrase and your video itself will rank pretty well for that without having to build any backlinks.

And finally videos are good for traffic from YT and you can put a nofollow bl in the description too.

Mixed content is always good in the eyes of Google so adding a picture, a good informative article and a youtube video related to the article will help you in the serps providing you give the page some backlink juice. No doubt about it.
