Hey guys, sorry I am sure there are 100's of these threads around. I have searched a ton of stuff, and read a lot, but am still a little confused, or not sure? Well, I am not the write of this blog, I just do some SEO for the person to try and rank it. Its a blog that talks about a lot about that persons opinion, the sections they have are Sex Men Love Friends Health Marriage Problems Being a Parent Work Ethic Some of the recent articles written where What does a Woman find Attractive in a Man -Men section A Real Bestfriend - Friend section Winter Sickness -Health section Ovarian Cancer -Health section Bad Bosses -Work Ethic Dying to be Beautiful - Health Text Messages -Love Does Size Really Matter? -Sex So these are all based on opinions, really. They dont solve any problems. I use Yoast SEO and put in keywords that the person talks about in the article. They dont know anything about ranking, keywords and whatnot, so I just let them write their article, and then I find keywords and tinker around with the article. The thing is, I just used Rankerizer (I just heard about a SERP for the first time tonight, so I just tried this thing, it was free) to look up my keywords. And it only showed that I was ranked for 3 keywords. Out of the 53 articles/keywords we have at the moment. So, I am not really sure how to get traffic over here. The website is based on I guess "Free Advice", more just opinions of this person. Im just a friend helping them out. I am no SEO expert, but I do have knowledge in this, as my other website gets decent traffic, but I use very specific keywords that few people look up or even rank for, so in the end I get constant unique visitors. But I see a lot of people say backlink and all that, but I dont know where I would start, since this is more of a personal life blog, how would I go about getting quality links, so I dont screw up the site? I have a facebook fan page, its hard to get traffic there, but I am getting some. But, anyone know how I can rank this site? I mean, the keywords I use are quite odd to me. And they are either high or low. But the problem is, the person puts the title (what they are talking about), and then doesnt mention it again. So, its extremely hard for me to find keywords when their title is them asking a question, or them giving a statement, then writing on that. So, the title is Why is it hard to fall Asleep at night? then in the article they talk about getting little sleep, their age, and what they do throughout the day. So I use Why is it hard to fall Asleep at night? as the keyword, but it is put nowhere inside the article. And Sleep is a keyword ranked way to high for the blog, so I try and use odd keywords/more specific. But, I have only seemed to have gotten 1 organic hit from google and 1 organic hit from Yandex. Other than that, its just some facebook referrals. The person has 53 articles written, A+ great content, but I just dont know how to rank them anywhere in Google? Content is original, and the person is a fantastic editor. Any help here? Thanks! Let me know if I should link the site here cause I will. The look of it is nothing special, just a normal blog roll, but I would like to get some traffic before paying for a nice sleek theme for them. We have adsense on the site, and facebook, g+ and all the share this post stuff. Just not sure how to rank them when they dont use their keywords in their articles. They just write a title, and talk about it, but dont solve it. I also cant use keywords like gym, love, sex, cause those are ranked so high, and my site will never be seen.
