How To Get Some Quick Proxies

Hi everyone. I just joined up to the forum and wow.. theres so much friggin stuff! with so much information available to me I figured it would only to appropriate to start out giving something so here is a quick way to get and test some proxies.

if you google "free proxy list" or "proxy list" you will get all kinds of results from sites offering this. Most the results are bad but here is an easy way to weed them out without having to use any software.

Go to the site and highlight the list...


now copy that to your clipboard. Open up whatever spreadsheet program you have. In my case its openoffice calc, and paste your list into the spreadsheet...


highlight the column with the IP addresses and shown by selecting the first one, holding shift, then clicking the last one on the list. Now paste them into the box at http://www.checker.freeproxy.ru/checker/ and scan them...


thats it pretty simple. pretty effective. I always wind up with some proxies.

thank you...this is awesome. now how can I find out where those proxies are from. I want some just from canada or mexico.

Agreed. You're way better off with Charon and/or checking in Proxy Firewall.

Ape's tuts are still the best I've seen here at BHW. There's a great proxy sub-forum here that is full of good info. Thank you for the share though OP, and welcome to the forum!

In that site seems checking is in real time, don't seems they record results of previous checking

They can say whatever they want, doesn't make it true.

Check your results in a decent local machine tester (Charon, AAtools, Proxyfirewall, etcetera) versus an online site. See what happens.

Some of them also save your list to their internal database so they can re-release them elsewhere. So your proxies will be overloaded a lot more quickly.
