    When you are posting on a phpbb forum, sometimes, on some sites, links get underlined. On some sites, they don't. Is this something that you, the user, can control? Or only the webmaster can control it through their CSS?
    Something weird that I have noticed with a few sites: sometimes, when I post a link and submit, the link is not underlined. But then if I edit my post for some reason (let's say there was a misspelling and I fix it), my link suddenly becomes underlined?

    It can definitely be controlled in a CSS file.

    Add this to your CSS:

    Code:
    a{text-decoration: none;}

    I believe you can customize how websites look to you with certain plugins on either FireFox or Chrome. And then you can input the code that ste_Hughes mentioned and you won't have underlined links. (atleast on your end)

    To me it looks like the OP wants to post discrete links, but the underline gives them away as links too easily. If the website's stylesheet has the underlining, the only way would be to override it with the above line of code, but I don't know if you can find many forums that allow that. That's already quite unhelpful, sorry, but as for the links changing, I have even less of a clue!

    You can make it so the links only appear to you as being not underlined (by using something like Greasemonkey). There is no way to globally change the way links appear for all users unless you are an admin.

    Just change the links with the WYSIWYG editor that forums use?
