I tried a few approaches but most targets just want to stay on the platform where I target them. I am not even promoting paid offers. I had some 'conversions' using Crackrevenue but no payout trying to get people to convert.

Use a spy tool + good copy + direct them to the place where to enter their details

Spy tool? I am thinking about my dropshipping days. I don't run ads, so I am not sure how this might be of help.

Well, it will help a lot in duplicating a successful landing page that will highly convert, just try and see, if not, try to use push paid ads.

It depends on the product you're offering. If it's not converting it's either because you haven't exposed enough people to it or the product is crap.
