I uploaded a clip from a tv show on youtube but it got slapped with a Copyright Infringement and the video was taken down instantly.
Others have uploaded the same video but theres are still up with hundreds of hits.

Anyone know any trix to get the video to stick?
Can I pitch shift the audio or something?

In the description text box you can add
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

"Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use"

Not 100% guaranteed but in some cases will make sure that the video you display is allowed to stay live

    or course
Sometimes it will be ignored and your video will be deleted

But it has in our experience worked on about a 50/50 basis

Try it is costs nothing :)

Well, what steelballs said was half right, but you dont type that in the description, when your video gets copyrighted, dispute the copyright, and type that in

We do quote it in the description for sure, so they are aware when they get a copyright violation request

We have tried sending it after the copyright violation request and it has not worked for us when we have disputed

Well you can tweak the video a little bit. Before the video, Put a Title or Credits on the video using Windows movie maker. That makes your video unique. Dont let your description be the exact same thing as others. Change it up a bit. put your channel name in there as well so if someone tries to steal your description your channel name is hidden in there.
