I just recently started selling on Ebay, how can I make more sales and get more traffic? Black hat white hat or any color hat tip would be appreciated
You're new to the game with no reputation, so what do all new guys do?
1. They crash and burn as they try to out beat pricing to get the customers.
2. They become branded and start power selling to loyal repeat customers.
3. They sell just enough to get by.
Your current projection from me is #3. You might have tried to search google, yahoo, bing, etc for answers but you won't get any solid ones. People don't have a magic secret solution to sell things on eBay. Its an artform, psychology, making people emotionally want to buy your stuff. Intel blasts ads with stars from Big Bang Thoery hoping to get people to go out and buy another intel product. Even if they don't do it right away, Intel still branded their images inside your head, so when you do buy new pc parts you are more likely to trust Intel with your money.
Powersellers on eBay have repeat customers, so you'll want to start in a evergreen niche. A little scraping on your part and you can break down to what sells for what to who and when. Once you understand this you might want to get some people (pay them, incetivize them, whatever) to constantly buy your products at a LOSS to you. Amazon undersold books to get branded, BestBuy undersold tvs and appliances to get branded, both are pushing ads heavily right now in my area for sales. If you want to really start making $30 on eBay you'll sell someone something you bought for $100 less than the eBay listing price, and resold it to make the $30 back (minus listing fees and delivery).
I can't answer your question without going into depth about how to sell in the first place, but just know its not about being a salesman, its about being a fucking legendary lord and master of psychology and body language.
