I have been writing for fun in an adult niche for quite some time, and am going to use my original content to start a blog. I will also be writing more, and enjoy it - so I'm not worried about creating unique content. I'm sure I will be able to get it placing highly in searches, as I do SEO for a living.

What I don't usually do is monetize sites - I do SEO for businesses.

I know I can't use adsense because of the adult themes and possible adult pictures - but what would the best way to monetize this be?

    Ideally:
    What sites/offers work best?
What payment service (paypal can be trouble w/ adult, right?)

    Thanks guys!

Paypal is the devil incarnate. As for monetizing your site, I'm sure there are affiliate programs you could get into. I'm pretty sure there are even some bhw special affiliates for dating, adult services as well. Good luck.

Essentially non-mongamy or swinging of sorts.

dating affiliates might work for this.
    If not,
google for adult affiliates and you will find tons of them.
for ad spaces you can try juicyads but that only works outif you have a lot of traffic.
or pop ads they set up pops
or you can get a imlive or other cam affiliate pops setup on your site

Real niche adult SE content still converts as long as a ton of free material doesn't come up in the search results. If you're promoting a paysite, ideally you want to make it seem like their only opportunity to check out this porn. Or at least convince them a free trial will be worth it.

The real problem with sex stories is that it's mostly women that read them. I really don't know how dating sites convert for women but it's probably pretty bad. Literotica is advertising VOD on their stories, which can't be a good sign for that whole industry.

That's very true, which is why I'm not just going to do stories - mostly a real-life blog type thing with some porn images and possibly some OC. This happens to be a niche where men will read - at least to an extent, as long as there's other content to keep it fresh.

Yeah, if not using paypal, how do you get money from the site to your bank account.

Also, when should you monetize - from the beginning or half way through when you already have people reading.

Lastly, would tumblr work for monetizing?
