After the Hunger Games on Jr. VIP section had a contest in where we were urged to share more strategies in the Jr. VIP section, I decided that I'd contribute something to the forum.

This isn't Jr. VIP material so I won't be placing it there as this should be common knowledge.

The issue is, many people on this forum need to be spoon-fed and don't use common sense. I haven't seen this discussed here so I will post it.

How to Get Local Web Design Clients on Facebook

What you're going to want to do is have an account that has joined local Buy and Sell groups. You can use your real account, or you can get private proxies and join in a bunch of cities. The choice is yours.

If you're using proxies, make sure that your accounts are warmed up because people in these groups are bored and will report you for no reason sometimes.

Now, there is a bit of luck involved but you're going to want to browse these groups and find a post in which someone is marketing one of their local services, like a landscaper or tree removal service.

If you spot a post like this, Google their business and check if they have a website. If they don't, just send them a casual message like this:

If you've ever tried to sell offline, you'll get people telling you to fuck off. Some will ignore you as well. But it's a numbers game and there will be those that take you up on their offer.

If you can't sell, well there are plenty of resources out there that can teach you how to be a better salesperson.

It’s the great thing about web design - it’s so easy to research and pre-qualify leads - like you said, it’s easy to find whether or not they have a website already.

The problem is I guess that a lot of small businesses can’t see the value in the internet and/or they don’t want to spend any money on a website.

But like you said, it’s a numbers game.

    It's all in the sell.

People don't want to be sold hard so you tell them that you just wanted to reach out to ask why they don't have a website or ask for 7 minutes of their time.

If they say that they don't need a website then ask them why the top company in the city has one.
