Hello, I have an italian website for football betting predictions. I moved from the .win tld to .it since the .win was causing problems with the google search console (it couldn't read the sitemap, idk why) and also because i thought the .it would be better for the italian audience. I have a script that automatically writes each article for each match prediction. The posts are composed like this:
introduction (written by gemini, if i use the online tools they say 100% human written, so should be fine)
various data and prediction (the template is written by me, only the data changes, for example the betting odds, stats etc...)
conclusion (same as the introduction)

the pages are indexed and all (i manually indexed them on gsc) but they don't appear in the google search, in any page.
if i put the website's name in the query they appear tho.
The first websites that show up when i search for the keyword are basically shit, so shouldn't be too hard to rank, i also checked the kd with ahrefs and it says 0.
I've also posted the links of the posts on reddit and pinterest, what do you think should I do to rank quickly?

but they don't appear in the google search, in any page.
that's because betting is one tough industry to get into as a random nobody (no offense to you or to other beginners, I'm just saying it like it is :) )

Your domain also probably has 0 authority, and in tough / shady / black hat niches authority (and strong links in general) are of vital importance. Unless you can pay $5-10k for an expired / non-dropped domain with high authority (DR of at least 50 I would say), I would not even consider the betting niche.

Of course, you could also black hat your way to success, this might also work, but since I know nothing about BH I can't help you I'm afraid (although, using expired domains kind of falls into BH territory)

But anyway, this is my opinion, so I'll stick to it until proven otherwise...

if i put the website's name in the query they appear tho.
well, yeah.... if I type "pink Ford mustang with flowers as spoilers" into google and such a page exists of course I'm going to see it since this is such a specific query,

The first websites that show up when i search for the keyword are basically shit, so shouldn't be too hard to rank,
they're shit because google wants to rank shit to force people into "refining" their searches so that they spend more time on google so they can be monetized more. It's all be design...

And if google shows garbage results in such a tough industry (betting) where you can normally only rank with big authority sites or with black hat techniques, you can bet your ass you're not going to rank with your 0 authority website. I'm not trying to put you down, waste your life trying to please the constantly goalpost moving google if you want, but I'm trying to save you from becoming google's whore like many of us have become.

Besides, google's era will be over soon, they're already working for the US military, so I don't think they care about their search engine anymore, so I'd not waste my time with them. For the few more years that search engines will continue to exist try to rank in Bing or other search engines, google is only reserved to the ultra rich or ultra nerdy who know how to profit from google's loopholes....

i also checked the kd with ahrefs and it says 0.
which keyword would that be? But still, I doubt that there's a single keyword in the betting industry that has zero competition, that's like finding a pink unicorn. But what keyword is it if you don't mind sharing? You've made me curious now :)

I've also posted the links of the posts on reddit and pinterest
pinterest had already succumbed to the AI, for at least 1-2 years I don't think it's a viable source of traffic anymore because AI profiles have taken over and they promote each other's pins and engage with themselves, so Pinterest is not worth the trouble anymore...

I can't speak about Reddit though as I don't use it...

what do you think should I do to rank quickly?
use an expired domain that's clean and has a ton of strong backlinks (but like I said, this might cost you upwards of $5000 to buy, so be ready to spend money), or find other black hat techniques that can be automated and which are effective. Do some research on how to rank in betting industry, maybe you can find something you can cling to...

Thank you very much for your detailed answer. The keywords I'm talking about are like this: pronostico inter fiorentina (prediction inter fiorentina, a match of the italian serie a, but could be any.).
This is what I was thinking about, I know i can't rank for generic keywords like "football predictions", but maybe I have a chance with single matches, especially with kind of unknown leagues: not many people in italy provide detailed analysis and predictions for the german bundesliga, that's where I could appear.

I'll try to rank on bing too, should be easier right? Hovewer I'll keep the site updated, keep indexing all my pages and see how it goes, I believe it's a process that takes time. I'm getting some small but good traffic from reddit, I'm trying everything to help the seo on page, yesterday i changed the h1 and h2, added various schema.orgs and such.

One thing I'm worried about is that since my articles are mainly written by ai, google or whatever search engine might not want to index them since they're ai.

If your pages are indexed but not ranking, it’s likely a content quality or authority issue rather than just KD. A few things to consider:

  • Thin/Aggregated Content – Even if AI-generated content passes detection, Google might see it as low-value if it’s too templated. Try adding unique insights, expert opinions, or user engagement (comments, polls).
  • Backlinks & Authority – Low KD doesn’t mean instant ranking. You need some backlinks from relevant sites, even niche forums or guest posts can help.
  • Internal Linking – Strengthen your SEO by interlinking posts strategically.
  • CTR & Engagement – Google may be testing your pages but not ranking them due to low engagement. Optimize titles/meta descriptions for clicks.
If you’re relying heavily on automation, be careful—Google’s Helpful Content Update might be filtering your site out. Try improving E-E-A-T signals (author bios, social proof, citations, etc.). Keep building links and monitoring GSC for indexing/ranking changes.
I have no Idea on how to get backlinks and authority for free, socials have nofollows so it's useless for the search engines. The internal linking imho is already good but still could be improved. I must think about some way to slightly change the templated content for each article, because right now the only things that change from one article to another is the introduction 250words ca, the various data inside tables, but described with standard text just replacing the variables (home team, away team, odds, standings.) and the conclusion 100words ca.

do you think that a Bio would benefit the value of the articles?

normally, those keywords are easier indeed. But - as you can see - google would rather rank garbage instead of relevant sites, so I'm not sure how you can break into top 10 besides using BH if authority sites are not making it...

it should be easier in the sense that at least they're not intentionally keeping trash on their SERPs, but from what I understood ranking in Bing is very random. What I've heard saying that works well is EMDs and quality content (whatever quality content means with regards to football predictions).

If you intend to target Bing buy an EMD, and submit your site to Bing's webmaster tools (similar to Google Search Console) and request indexing of each URL manually if they allow it. You are targeting keywords that are temporary, so I don't think that normal SEO applies to these keywords, which is why I think you should focus on having an authority site before everything else...

good luck! I don't know how you're going to succeed in this niche, but I hope that you do :)

By the way, I might watch Inter - Fiorentina tonight if I have time. Last meeting the Viola whooped Inter's ass, so it should be an interesting chance of revenge for Inter tonight :)

Who do you think will win the Scudetto by the way? Napoli or Inter? Or maybe someone else?? (although, personally I think it's a 2-way battle)

meh, I don't know. I keep hearing people that 100% unedited AI content still works, but I assume you have to get the prompts right or something, I don't know cause I never use AI (I despise it)... But in your case I don't know what to say because there's no room for improving the content since you're a sports betting site, I don't think you can have too much content that's unique and high quality....

How do i get an authority site? Are there specific things to do? Or just post content and hopefully wait?
Well I'm not sure about who'll win the scudetto this year. Inter have by far the best team but Napoli has Conte, he's the best manager you can have if you want to win quickly, they have a worse team tho. Conte is doing wonders. If Inter manage not to win it this year it would be considered an absolute disaster. Honestly I hope Napoli wins it since I'm a Juve fan and i wouldn't stand Inter winning another one. Atalanta is still in the race but I don't think they have the experience/hunger to win it. What's more interesting in my opinion is the Champions League qualification: many teams fighting for the first 4 slots, who'll qualify? Juve? Milan? Lazio? Fiorentina? Bologna? Hopefully Juve

get strong links, or links from big / popular sites in your industry (hard to do, I know, but thank google for pricing everyone out of business)

Try to have your site mentioned in as many gambling and sports-related ezines, forums, directories, etc as possible, this will build up both authority and trust with google, which will eventually help you rank in google when / if google decides to ever come back to their senses and rank websites based on quality...

fair points :)

meh, I don't think it will be "absolute" disaster. Haven't they won the league 2-3 times in the last 5 years or so? (I'll have to check, but I'm pretty sure they've won at least 2 titles in the last several years)

So I don't think it will be an absolute disaster (not even a disaster actually), because they'll still play in UCL and I believe they're still in the domestic cup too... I think...

Honestly I hope Napoli wins it since I'm a Juve fan and i wouldn't stand Inter winning another one
understandable :D

To be honest, man, your team is pretty bad nowadays, and the manager doesn't help either with all of those "play it safe" matches. You have how many draws already? 10? 11?? That's insane for a club like Juve.... but then again, from Del Piero and Nedved and Cannavaro, and Trezeguet and Buffon to all of these no-name players that I watch and can't see a spark of genius in any of them... I don't know, maybe I'm old fashioned (actually, I am old fashioned :p), but the Juve teams you've had in the 2000s that used to rape Real Madrid and Barca would mop the floor with your current team... I also don't understand why Vlahovic is not delivering, for Fiorentina he was a beast and for Juve he can barely score once every 3-4 games... at least from what I'm seeing on livescore sites, because otherwise I'm not watching football anymore, I've lost interest in these system and stats-heavy games in which you're not allowed to even touch the shirt of your opponent with your aura because it's foul and red card SMH.... Football had become too robotic and too feminine, I can't stand it anymore....

Anyway, sorry for the rent, but I got caught up in the nostalgia :)

Atalanta is still in the race but I don't think they have the experience/hunger to win it.
yeah, experience plays a major role in winning trophies. You need to fumble the trophy a few times until you finally win it, it's happened to Man City in UCL, so the experience thing is real...

What's more interesting in my opinion is the Champions League qualification: many teams fighting for the first 4 slots, who'll qualify? Juve? Milan? Lazio? Fiorentina? Bologna? Hopefully Juve
I don't think Bologna has what it takes, but - like I said - I'm not following football as closely as I used to, so maybe I'm wrong... And Lazio I don't know, this is one club that I've never been convinced by in the last 30 years that I've watched them play. They seem to always be a tier 2 club, always in the shadows of the big 3-4 ones (whichever the "big ones" are at any point)... I have nothing against Lazio (even though they've never been on my list of favorite clubs), but nowadays I don't have anything against them anymore, but they just fail to convince me, I don't know why...

So yeah, probably Milan, Juve and Atalanta will claim the last qualifying spots... at least that's what I'd bet on should I still be into betting...
