    This is a great technique for those of you with blogs for your site or product, and especially for those that groan at the idea of searching for the perfect images for your blog posts, which are no doubt important for SEO and ranking your blog posts.

    Note: this only applies to those of you with self-hosted Wordpress.org installations, not Wordpress.com accounts.

    Here's my guide.

    1. Download Photodropper

    Photodropper is in the Wordpress plugin repository, but you can also download it from their website.

    2. Search for a photo and insert it

    Really simple. It takes 4 clicks in total, and every image is 100% free to use under Creative Commons license.

    3. Set up styles in your blog CSS to limit max width

    Most of the images within Photodropper are pretty large (1000px wide), so when you insert them, they may go off the screen, depending how well your blog's theme is coded. If this happens, make sure to add line of CSS to your blog. Something like this should do the trick:

    .entry-content img {

    4. Consider using Timthumb or a batch image resizing script

    Large images mean lower slower loading times, so if you can implement something that automatically uses Timthumb to resize your images or use a batch image resizing script, every image you insert from Photodropper will be automatically resized and will be fast-loading.

    Using this guide, I went from taking 20 minutes to find images for my blog posts to less than 1 minute. It's a huge time saver.

    Hope this helps you!
