How to get credit for posts??

Hi i'm kinda new here and made a few posts and doesnt look like I get any credit for them. Also for us nubs we are suppose to get credit for posting, if we dont know anything and we are suppose to ask all these questions in PM how in the world do we get posts??? Cause i have nothing to post to teach anything.
