After research you got some high metrics domain but when you see the domain isn't indexed to Google...How do you get confirmed if the domain is either banned or Not indexed? does it mean that if the domain is like 6-8 yrs old, its most possibly banned ?

Can someone please tell me exactly how could i get it. Thank you

A good way to determine a penalty is seeing if the domain is indexed in Bing. Note though that the user could have just used the URL removal tool in Search Console, but it's a good guess if the site is junk and it's indexed in bing but not google that it has a penalty. Not a guarantee though.

No way to guarantee it if you're not in their Search Console.

At first, check carefully archive and backlink profile. If everything is good then just purchase the domain, place some content and it should get indexed. Then place your links. There is no 100% guarantee there.

no no no. If it's not indexed in google, it's a definite flag. Especially if it's indexed elsewhere.

Actually, I wonder if this guy is interchanging "not indexed" with not ranking. So many SEOs do that.

I pay 0 attention if the domain indexed by Google or not .. for a domain that did not have content for years and there is not even a parking page for sure it will not be indexed I check two things before I buy:
1- The link profile in order to make sure there was not aggressive link building done in the past using anchor text
2- Archive.org to make sure it was not used before for PBN or scraped content websites

Well that's true. If it's parked, then it would not be indexed. I assumed that when he said it was old that it was still in commission. It's true that if it's parked then it might not be indexed.

This is only really true for godaddy auctions or similar where the domain isn't quite dropped yet. For domains that have been dropped for a few months (Or years), then they won't be in the index at all.

To answer OP's question, as others have suggested, the best "guess" you can do is to check the backlink profile. If there isn't any spam, and archive.org doesn't have any spam, then it's highly likely that the domain will not be banned. Afterall, if the backlink profile is clean, why would Google give it the boot?
