Ok, this happened to me back in 96 when i ran a magazine called the chamber canada's darkest magazine, in any case the only reason people heard of it and it got popular is strangely because we got shut down so many times. we always broke the TOS that was part of the game, but we reloaded our site on another server and another, soon we had a very large cult following and even though the ezine is gone out of existence you can still google it and find our old geoshities page. Be careful who you pick your fights with is my only advice. There are many ways to skin a cat, just don't make an enemy out of just any random competition. You never know who they might know.
