I said you can't reach out for Forbes, CNN by your own. You can only get post by contributors/authors.

You won't ever get real news coverage from any of these sites unless you do something newsworthy. The best you can get is editorials by reaching out to and negotiating with the journalists working for the publications. Journalists, however, are fairly easy to negotiate with in these matters- with a little effort I'm sure you can find a few options.
