How to get back google's ranking after longer downtime.

my friend's website was down for 7 days and it has disappeared from the google. My question is, do you have any experience with getting back? And how long does it take to get back? I saw websites that had some major problems and got back after some time so I hope it's possible :-(

Give time to Google for re index your pages.
Use Fetch as google from google search console all the pages will re index within a day.

thanks for a reply! So should I wait or do FETCH now? I'm a bit scared to do something because google usually fuck me over.
