    Guys,
I have my campaign set up in google adwords. my campaign is based around a few different movies and i have the name of the movie in the headline, atleast once in the ad text, and another time in the url. I've done my keyword research, wrote a few ads to split test, registered seperate domains based on the movie, put meta keyword tags in my landing page and wrote the headline similar to the ad text.

    AND

google gave me a 7/10 to 10/10 quality score on all of my keywords.

This is where my question comes in.

I've revised my landing page to hopefully bring better conversions, BUT i left out one thing when i re uploaded my landing pages. I forgot to put in the keyword meta tags in the newly revised landing pages. shortly after reuploading my new landing pages, google gives me a 1/10 QS because of lack of "relevance" and now my ads arent showing due to low QS and first page bid too low.

would this mistake on my part have ANYTHING to do with my QS?

also, my ads were running for hours just fine with a great QS, and once i reuploaded my new landing pages and forgot to add my keyword meta tags, my QS took a shit.

What the fuck? Google is so fucking frustrating!!!

someone whose been here before please help

    thanks,
    landon

http://blackhatzen.com/adwords-edge/ - simple but can help you with your qs issues, could have been a manual inspection that caused the qs drop, get a fresh domain, change your shit to it, run em again and see what happens

You can use google goggles tool to find the initial expected QS. But no body can do if they verify manually slap the QS. I am also frustrating same.

Update your meta tags, re-create your xml sitemap and resubmit it to g using webmaster tools. Wait for the bots to recrawl your website. This should fix your problem. If not, your campaign is slapped.

CTR is the key my friend. Bid the max CPC for the first few mins get your CTR up, and your QS will rise like crazy and your bid price will plummet. After your CTR is in the 1 - 3% range you will then be able to adjust to a lower bid. Just remember to set a low daily budget.

You will have to spend some money up front but hopefully you will make it all back within a day.

    Cheers!

@Nixxt: Why do you set low daily budget? I would have thought it would make low impressions which then leads to low CTR?

Any suggetions on how to get CTR up?

Yep nixxt is right, QS is determined mainly by ctr. Of course if it's q new ad, it will be based on keyword, ad text, landing page etc. But after x amount of clicks ctr will become more and more of a factor. The only way to increase ctr is better ad copy, more targeted keywords etc. Again, as nixxt said, if u start to appear higher in search results, by bidding a higher cpc, u will naturally increase you ctr. This is when u need to balance cost and return...
