Is it hard to get affiliates to market your clickbank product? How can you get in to a good spot?
No its not, Its all depends on the techniques you use
Depends on the niche. Some niches are more clique than others (such as IM) so you would need to know people already or be prepared to network (live events etc). You could get lucky and get one of the big boys to promote you - but it's really hit and miss if it's your first product from my experience.
This is true to a large degree.
I'm in the IM niche, and it is VERY clique-oriented.
I do agree with the OP's sentiments. I know how frustrating it can get.
Here's the biggest piece of advice I can give you, OP:
Don't be stingy, and provide quality marketing resources.
In other words, pay affiliates as much as you can afford to pay them, and make sure they have decent banners, articles, email swipes, etc.
Other than that, make sure your site converts well, so that you can give them promising (but also realistic) expectations.
Yes, and remember that the real question is, do you really afford that much not to pay them? (as a high commission)
Offer 75% as it's more competitive online these days and read my post here on how to steal your competitors affiliates:
I think I'm going to change my commission to 75%...caz things are going too slowly. Anyway, I have a killer method of how to get fast affiliates to promote..just that... there is one little thing =)
How much would be reasonable payout to affiliates? over $20 and 60%? Rising the commission isn't the biggest problem but IMO, getting affiliates to know my product is. What would you do if you don't have a list, no jv partners?
Extremely helpful. I hope the TS listens to this.
Guys, where the hell did you find this thread??? Nobody had posted on it in a year and a half!
