So I have a website, before I launch it I want to get affiliates to promote it with me as well (for obvious reasons). There are tons of products that are similar to mine, but my product (eBook) is without doubt the best written eBook in this niche (100%) + my website is EDM for my keyword. The website is legit with an insane YouTube video (very professional). Good Sales page and all that.

    I charge $7/month for signup.
You get the eBook + 2 extra eBooks + Weekly Interviews.

What I was thinking of doing is for every affiliate that sings up a person, they get a $10/sign-up. It is very easy to rank for the keywords because no one in this niche really knows anything about SEO.

So my question I guess is...

    1. Where do I find affiliates who'll promote my niche?
    2. Is $10/signup convincing enough?
    3. Do I have to go through CB in order to start an affiliate program?

    1. It'd be easier to answer that if we knew your niche.
    2. It is a good incentive offer, I think it will work.
    3. There are other programs like e-Junkie and PayLoadz

Have you thought about promoting it on eBay or Amazon? I've seen some other sites advertised as well like Lulu(d0t)k0m

But I'm guessing CB is the most popular one?
Is it really worth going through them? Or is there a better way to do the whole affiliate thing?

My wife works for a very large affiliate management company. IMO from what I see and hear from her for an ebook, especially one that you're charging for access to sell. I think it will be very hard to find legitimate (super) affiliates. Isn't the reward for you their ability to sell the product anyway? You don't have to give them the product for free - make them buy it, or give them sections to write reviews on. Any serious - legitimate - affiliate wouldn't pay to be a part of the program.

Also, if I sign up with ClickBank, how does the money process goes? Let's say my affiliate signs up 10 people... Do I personally send that affiliate $100? Or will ClickBank take the $100 from my bank, and pay the affiliate?

    Home Page:
    1. Depends on the niche but i'm guessing IM forums will have plenty of affiliates ready to get traffic to your site.
    2. Yes
    3. CB is an option but you can probably get a script to do it yourself, this looks somewhat interesting

Trying to be a devils advocate here for a second...

Isn't there also a huge plus to using CB vs. setting up your own affiliate 'site'? Because let's say your product catches fire and it goes to the top of the page at CB, doesn't that mean even more people would like to promote it then? Meanwhile if I set up my own, CB won't see it and the people won't see it, meaning that less affiliates might want to join?

Also, who is paying all the money to the affiliates?
Let's say I go with CB... Does CB automaticlly go into my bank account and take out the right amount of money to pay my affiliates? Or do I pay them personally?

I run a membership site and I have an in house affiliate network and I wouldn't have it any other way. Offer 50% recurring commissions for the affiliate.

Also, you have to have some thing to keep the user coming back. Split the ebook up into monthly packages and drip feed the content over the month. Near the end of the month you're gonna need something so the user feels they have to renew their sub.

    Good luck dude!

By recurring commissions you mean... For every month a person stays, the affiliate gets 50% of that?

Also, I will have weekly interviews with professions in my niche so I think personally it will be a great hook.

Also, why does the user need to renew their subscription every month? Don't they sign up and then when 30 days are up, it automatically renews itself? And will keep doing so until they manually cancel the subscription?

& to my previous question that I had, which I didn't get a respond back... Imagine two scenarios... One scenario you have your product up on CB, the other scenario is that you use your own affiliate-software and set it up on your own site. Now, let's say the product catches fire and does REALLY GOOD! On CB it'll show it right on the front page of the marketplace and other affiliates might grab it, while if you do it on your own website and it also does really good other affiliates might not see it because they never head of your site?

Let's say... Even my competitor... Is there a way to find out who's my competitors affiliates are? So I can just email them?
