Hey everyone, this is just going to be a quick summary of how to get accepted from my own perspective. First of all, I'm completely new to affiliate programs, have never done marketing, and the only websites I run are proxies (and crappy autoblogs). So I basically have nothing going for me in the application process. Here's what you need to do:

    1. Register to become an affiliate, and call them.

And yeah, that's pretty much it. Read some of the other threads... just call and be confident and that's all there is to it. I applied to Copeac a week ago and got rejected, but I just applied again today, called, talked for 3 minutes, and was accepted on the spot. Here's how the conversation went with the girl on the other end:

Me: Hi, I applied to become an affiliate and I was wondering if we could speed up the application process.
Her: Ok, one moment. What's your last name? What's your first name?
    Me: Name is ...
Her: How do you plan on driving traffic?
Me: Pay per click (Google adwords)
Her: Will you be using the site in your application?
Me: No, I'll be setting up new sites.
    Her: Any other affiliate programs?
    Me: No, I'm new.
Her: Ok, we just need you to verify your address.
    Me: Address is ...
Her: Ok, you've been accepted. Your affiliate manager is ... and he'll be contacting you later tonight.

Obviously be more conversational than what I wrote above, but you get the idea. Also, I've been rejected by almost every other program already... probably because my site is a proxy, but also because I didn't call, or called and could never get in contact :(

Anyways, for the noobs out there who are scared to apply, just do it. You lose nothing, and you can always apply again if it doesn't work out. Good luck!

Copeac was the program for the first post.

Yeah, I guess I thought being accepted was a lot harder than it really was. But still, my lack of websites and experience is definitely dragging me down. For someone who has neither, calling may be the best thing you can do.

As an update, I called Hydra, a lady asked for my info, and said she'd send it off for review and let me know if I'm accepted within 24 hours.

Hey, just as an update, I got a call from Neverblue:

What's your background with marketing? None, I'm new
Are you taking any training courses? No, learning on my own
Any niches you plan to target in particular? Need to decide after doing research
Any technical experience? Yeah, I can build websites
Ok, just need to verify your info. Ok

Great! You're approved. Simple as that.

You have to push some numbers to get to publisher questions/applications but they should put you through after that.

yeah getting accepted isn't too difficult if you know what to say. The hardest part is getting them to pick up the phone haha.

This reminds me of when I started.. I applied at CPA Fuel and didn't get a call for months, forgot I applied. Got the call after some drinking and completely failed at getting approved.

He asked me what I did and I told him I was thinking of trying out PPC and he asked me how much I'd be spending. I told him I was saving up 10-20K and after some other questions (do you have a website, kinda questions) he denied me. Was lame. Might have been my drunken attitude :D

e are unable to accept your application as a MaxBounty.com affiliate
at this time. Our decision was not a judgment on the quality of your
website, but rather that it was not a suitable match for our current
    list of sponsors.

We encourage you to sign up again if your website changes, or after
a couple of months have elapsed.

    Thanks,

Yeah, I got rejected by MaxBounty too, but I wasn't able to reach them by phone... in fact I haven't been able to reach most of these companies by phone. Most calls go to someone's voicemail. :(

I am new to all this and have not been rejected yet. Standard questions with all of them, I guess it all depends on how you sound and what sites you own.

I tried doing this but a little bit different with neverblue ads. And I guess I got a nicer one than last time... Cuz this guy said "ok, well here is what i can do. i can send you some information to learn more about affiliate programs, and once you have read over it and know what you are doing, call me back." :D Not so bad I guess... lol
