My website gets 900+ visitors daily. It's a gaming website (will pm you the link if needed, just ask) The site is a wpmu/buddypress site. I've given away xbox 360 point codes along with games then they all come out of the woodwork, but as soon as it's over and i'm out of everything, they go back in to the shadows like cockroaches.

My million dollar question is, how do i keep them active, because my site is dead and i'm getting that many visitors, i'm thinking because if they see a site not socially active, they just read but idk. I Was thinking of registering 100s of users and comment, start blogs etc.. but that seems like allot of work. They got to be a better way?

I Been Reading allot this morning and i found something interesting. Reddit and Digg in their early stages made fake users to make it seem like their sites was active getting people wanting to join in. Do you think this willl work? i mean it makes allot of sense because if i went to a website and it seemed dead, i wouldn't bother signing up.

continue to post contests. visitors need to be engaged. you can actually monetize the contests with CPA offers.

PM me the site. I will give you some advice.

Have you monitised? whats the revenue?

    cosider selling it?

Also yeah even youtube made fake accounts when they first started.
You could outsource some cheap workers to make a forum presence, like pay them $1 per hour or less... but I dont know for sure until I see the site for myself.

I Don't really want to get them spoiled. I Didn't have to buy any of the things i was giving away, Game publishers was sending me stuff to hold contest on my site, Hell, My gamergate account has about 50 games in for me to review, and i can't review.. lol i'm no writter, they keep putting full games in my account.

I'm using the cubepoint plugin that i renamed "rep" users earn "rep" by participating, like posting content, inviting members, watching youtube videos, commenting, loggin in daily basically being socially active.

If they break the rules, they lose 25 rep to 10000 rep depending on the infraction. Eventually, we're going to have a script built where users can buy/sell games or what ever with their "rep" points where they can set their own price for what they're selling.

I Don't really want to monetize the site like that, i don't want to have ads everywhere right now. Eventually, i will have a plugin built that will allow me to give my top contributors the option to enter their {adsense id} on their editorial piece we're they can earn revenue from their content.
