This is a simple plan that is in fact working well for me at the moment, and the holiday shoppers haven't even started!

    1. Choose 2 products from Amazon affiliates that are not only relevant to your niche, but are top sellers that seem like they would make good gifts. (books seem to work well)
    2. Place 2 widgets in your blog sidebar using only the Amazon affiliate image's with the header "Great gift ideas" or something along those lines.
    3. Watch the sales come in if you have chosen your products wisely.

This is very simple, but for the holiday season it might be worth making a little extra space in your sidebar. I have increased my sales significantly since placing these aff. link images about a week ago.

I have blurred the product images below in order to preserve my niche, but you'll get the idea.

Oh, what a riddle you have provided. I mean the picture. Your tips are very helpful but what really attracted me is your thumbnail picture. It is really confusing. I think it is the first time I have seen on this forum people who create these fascinating things. Thank you.

Hey OP great idea but i have a doubt :

The widget you shown us have only two images. and nothing telling the visitors that they will be taken to amazon when they click the images. doesnt that break amazon TOS ?

My first amazon accounts got banned for the reason i was not telling the users that they will be taken to amazon website when they click the link. amazon guys told me to use their pre-defined 'buy from amazon button' .which looks really ugly ( and low click rates) . i really hate to use them but i never risked to get my account banned again.

I don't mention Amazon on most of my affiliate pages and I've had no problem with my account since I became an Amazon affiliate. Not sure why yours is different.
