Looks like it still works, but how?
You can find new links everyday, are they editing existing apps?
I also got message that new apps will no longer be accepted...

Didn't get the option to choose between app or extension, I followed instructions from the 1st page. What's the difference actually?

I paid $5 for developer registration fee, uploaded the extension, submitted it according to the chrome instructions. And after submiting, a new popup window announced that I should wait for 30 days for revision and approvement. When I push "Preview of Extension" page code shows that backlinks are nofollow....
