Love this forum and want to give back to fellow domain buyers...(Apologies in advance if this has been posted before. I feel this is unique as I came up with it through my personal tests.)

I know there are many who go with namecheap or some other registrar, over GoDaddy, for a higher price in order to get the private registration. You just might go back to gd after this ;)

    What you will get...

    - 1x .com domains
    - 4x .info domains
    - All private registration enabled

    $10.95 + $1.00 (20c ICANN per domain) = $11.95

Oh yeah... NO PROMO CODE NEEDED.

    How to:

    1. Go to Google and do a search for "Godaddy." The top sponsored link should be gd's site saying $6.99 per domain (if it doesn't come up, refresh a few times).

    2. Click the sponsor link and search for 1x .com and 4x .info domains that are available. (Note: .com domain may say $9.99, not $6.99. This is normal - the discount will be applied at checkout.)

    3. Select 1 year registration for all of them.

    4. At the cart page, above the Checkout button (found below the order totals), you will see a button that reads, something along the lines of, "Private Registration, Apply to All."

    5. Click that badboy and you will now have all 5 domains set with private registration.

*If there is no button "Apply to all," then under each itemized domain in the cart, you will see a checkbox that says "Add Private Registration." Click those individually for each domain. Timesaver: The page is set to automatically reload after you check a box, BUT if you click on the box for each domain quickly (before the page refreshes), then after your last click, the page will refresh with check marks in all of the boxes you selected.

    6. Go through checkout and you will be the proud owner of 5 domains, all with private registration for under 12 bucks!

    7. Pat yourself on the back.

    8. Plant a tree and make the world a better place..

I hope you guys enjoy and save some money! It's awesome because it was designed for 5x .com's to get the free privacy, but this is a nice surprise after conducting some trial & error. If you feel this is some good info, I'd appreciate a Thanks click for the post.

    -M

PS. This is the cheapest I've found for private registration & quantity of domains. Just in case you want to dig in (and to save you time...) I've tried registering 5x .info domains by themselves to get the free privacy, but it does not work. Neither does 1x .com + 3x .info. The magic number seems to be 1x .com + 4x .info.

No. You don't get the point do you? We prefer NameCheap over GoDaddy because GoDaddy is shit. :)

Not sure what you are doing wrong at GoDaddy but you can get 5 .info domains for $6 and have free private reg on all of them. I do it all the time for autoblogs.

Can someone please explain to me why you think godaddy sucks? I think they are great, I have had excellent experiences with them!

I used to use GoDaddy until they closed some of my domains because they had "fraudulent info"

I now use Namecheap and have never had any issues with them. GoDaddy can blow me

First of all, godaddy's servers are SLOW. But, the worst thing is that if someone makes a spam complaint against you they are likely to shut you down without even checking. And, it can take weeks to get through their crap and get back on.

They also play dirty: if you look for a domain name then decide to sleep on it, the domains you searched for the day before will be gone, all of them. I might buy .info domains from them, but I think I'd rather pay more than deal with them at all.

While some of the messages on this thread may be true...

This is a complete myth. Confirmed by multiple ex-GoDaddy workers at Nodaddy.com

Aside from setting concurrent user limits to their shared hosting (which is bullshit), I haven't had any problems with ther domain registration. I'll be trying this later to see if this still works.

I generally use internet.bs or namecheap, I won't deal with GoDaddy at all no matter what discount.

Once you get to godaddy, you can then delete your cookies and still get the "offer".
