    So I just signed up for a trial of SEOMoz and I'm sure glad I did, because it's showing a shitload of duplicate content because of this Rel Canonical fellow.

    Rel Canonical is some sort of meta tag that duplicates content.

    A bunch of my links have this ?report=XXX after them. And I don't know how to fix this or where it's coming from.

    Example.

    http://www.mysite.com/post/?report=154

    See, it shows just the regular post, and it's being considered by crawlers as dupe content :(.

    Also, I think it's splitting my Analytics in half.

    Because theres two instances of my homepage URL too but without the stupid ?report thing. I don't know why theres two instances, it's the same exact URL, title, etc.

    :eek::eek::eek:

    rel=canonical does not duplicate your content, it just tell the search engine about the preferred version.

    If you have placed it, you have done a right job. Do not remove it, otherwise Google will consider different paths to the same page as duplicate content.

    My CMS is Wordpress.

    And Kaithe, I think that my problem is the other way around based on what you posted. I guess I haven't placed the canonical meta tag and that I need to because SEOMoz says theres a bunch of pages that are duplicate content but the only difference in them is that one URL will have /?report=xxx, and one won't.

    SEF option? Googling now :D.
