    Hey guys

Ive got a list of influencers and frequent bloggers in my niche.

Im looking to find all the places these people guest post on.

Hypothetical Name - Phil McCrackin runs the the website example.com

Im trying search operators such as

    "guest post by" Phil McCrackin
"guest post by" Phil McCrackin example.com

Im getting only a few decent results.

What would be the best way to find what im looking for?

    Thanks

Those would be correct searches. Also search for their full name or the name they use on Google+ or whatever it is they use do ID themselves.

Thanks for the quick response. The results im getting are varied im finding maybe 3 or 4 of their blogs - but then a lot on non relevant stuff from people of the same name.

My backlink analysis is showing way more guest post opportunities from what im finding using this method - but I thought this would have probably revealed guest posts that even ahrefs/OSE missed out on.

Can you provide a post where one of these authors posted? I'll see what I can find.

The reason might be that you are using too basic queries. I`d recommend you to add a bit of imagination and try extending your search list with some variants like:
    • "this is a guest post by" Phil McCrackin
    • "guest author" Phil McCrackin
    • "contributing writer" Phil McCrackin
    • "written by" Phil McCrackin
    • "guest post courtesy of" Phil McCrackin
    • "guest post into the authorship of" Phil McCrackin
Hope this might be of some help!

A trick that might be useful for you is to find the influencers disqus profile.

Then sign up for IFTT (free) and set it to notify you via email whenever their disqus profile is updated (this is 99% of the time when they have commented somewhere). You can then be there commenting on the same article as them engaging them in conversation.

    Its super effective.
