For example, Google something like this:
    Code:
    cars "powered by vBulletin"

Try something link Forum + "Keyword"

You will get list of forums website with this keyword in it. But make sure while submitting your website there. Forum Websites are not Search Engine Friendly nowadays.

Google hits you with captcha very quickly with inurl queries. You get only a little bit more leeway with "powered by" queries.

Better to use other footprints from forums by having one main footprint and then adding to it with other phrases that are always found so something like:
    "phpbb group" "in total there"
    "phpbb group" "our newest member"
    etc.

This will also help you to avoid false positives where the "powered by" type phrases have been added to an article on some site via markov text generation .

Use boardreader.com, that should bring you some relevant forums.
