How to find some edu backlinks for your site

I don't know if this has been posted here but here is how you can find .edu sites for backlinks that are keyword specific.

1. Go to

Code:

g00gle.com

2 Type in

Code:

site:.edu inurl:blog ?comment? -?you must be logged in? -?posting closed? -?comment closed? ?keyword?

Then where it says keyword type in a keyword from the site your promoting. You'll get fewer results but almost all will provide keyword targeted .edu backlinks.

For instance say you were targeting the keyword tennis. Your search code would look like this.

Code:

site:.edu inurl:blog ?comment? -?you must be logged in? -?posting closed? -?comment closed? ?tennis?

If this has been posted here I'm sorry, just testing the waters. If you found it useful great! now go do it. Its only about 10mins of work.

Thanks for sharing this my friend. It has been shared before, but I know, someone will benefit greatly from your post. I personally have been using authority sites to get quality backlinks and have profited from them.

You can also change the ".edu" in the text string to ".gov" for government backlinks.

Can you put them BOTH in the text string and have it show both with just one query? If so, no reason not to add com, net, etc is there?

There was a thread very similar to this not too long ago about how to do a similar query for "********" blogs. However, I spent 20 minutes looking for it and couldn't find it. Could someone share how to modify the original poster's query to search for dofollows please?

I think the thread talking about dofollows had a query that would find forums too, not just blogs (but can't swear by that).
