    Hey Guys,

I am approaching 1k posts. Therefore, I have decided to release one of my methods of finding awesome domains. These should make you money either by reselling or using for your own sites. I can guarantee that it works perfectly.
Hint: You might need a powerful VPS and bunch of good private proxies

    So here are the steps:

    a) Find a target domain. Either Wikipedia,CNN,BBC and similar.

    b) Try to find a sitemap. A lot of these authority sites dont have them.
    1) Plugin the sitemap to a outbound link extractor. Scrape all outbound links from the site. This might take a while unless you have powerful VPS.
    or
    2) Choose any page. Plugin page into the inbound link extractor on scrapebox. Plug the results backin. Keep on until you have a huge amount of pages.
Plug those pages into the outbound links and scrape all outbound sites.

    c) once you have the huge bunch of domains.
    1) Strip to domain
    2) Remove duplicates
    3) Check PR
    4) Filter any domain with PR above 4.-I have seen that most of these domains have no PR as we are trying to find awesome expired domains with awesome links.
    5) You should have a decent list of a few thousand domains.

    d) Bulk check domains to see if there are any unregistered ones.

    e) Once a domain is found
1)Check links using Ahrefs. If you find an authority site linking to it. Verify manually and register the domain.

Rinse and repeat. Soon enough you will amass a bunch of powerful domains which can be either sold, or used for your own link network.

Here you can get a bunch of High PR sites to scrape.
    Code:
    http://www.statscrop.com/websites/pagerank/
I found an awesome domain with a PERMANENT wikipedia.com(Bought it with $1 using coupon from GoDaddy) link with a little bit of searching. You can do it too. I didnt even have a powerful VPS or private proxies. Imagine what you can do if you have those.

You can sell these for $100+. My domain STILL has the wikipedia link after MONTHS!
Good Luck! I have one more method that I will type up once I get the chance.
Feel Free to post questions and comments below.

Not sure why there aren't any replies but the approach and the end results are fruitful btw by reselling do you mean once we find a domain we can flip it the next day itself or flipping after a certain period of time?

Register the domain. Put some nice backlinks. Wait for PR to jump crazy high specially if it has backlinks from strong domains.
Once done flip it for $100-$300 on Flippa or other sites. Maybe open a sales thread on BHW with "High PR Domains For Pennies" or something.

Also guys there are a mind blowing number of domains on the web. keep on searching you will find tons of these awesome domains. I will probably hire a VA to do this for me fulltime as I have other more important projects to work on.

    Superb tutorial, but one question:

Is there any tool that you'd recommend?

Edit: Googled and found gazillion sites. Here's one: http://www.godaddy.com/bulk-domain-search.aspx

I've had a go at this tonight with some limited success.

I've found 2 domains that do not resolve to websites, both have expired and are in their grace period, if not renewed then they'll drop and will I would think be PR5's from the backlink profiles and age.

For expired domains I haven't found anything good really, and wondered if finding those domains that haven't been renewed but haven't dropped yet might be a good approach, but it's how do you identify them?

The scrapebox live/dead addon tells me that one of the 2 above is live even though it clearly isn't, and the resolver addon says it resolves when it doesn't, Xenu also gave a positive response, so I'm finding it hard to see how this might be done when I have a list of about 7000 domains to work through.

I also found a link from a very high authority site to a misspelled domain name, that is to say their link doesn't point to anything right now since the domain is available to register.

The page containing the link is a PR5 - what PR do you think the domain would end up with if I reg it?

All of the other sites linked to from that page are at least a PR4, with some of them only having 5 to 15 backlinks.

    Is it worth registering?

It's definitely worth registering. Awesome find so far.

I'm stuck at bulk registration part. So what you used is alive checker add on on scrapebox?

How many high pr authority domains do you input initially?

    Hi,
Yes I've tried the alive checker but for some reason even though some of the sites I checked manually don't resolve, they show as being okay.

Anyway, I started off with 2 to 3 high quality sites, but not Wikipedia etc, instead I went for other kinds of authority sites, less obvious ones like official organisations. Where they had a links page I crawled that first with the outbound links checker and then checked those sites too for PR, keeping anything above PR5 and adding them to the 2 or 3 I started with.

What I'm figuring is that if my original 2 or 3 high quality sites are linking out to other sites from a links page, then they will be high quality too, so it's just a way to find some more good sites that I wouldn't have thought of.

I then crawled all of those above for internal links, saved the results, then crawled those for the external links.

Sorted the spreadsheet of results by tld by using the formula =right(a2,3) to get a column with com, net, org, .uk, etc in it, then bulk checked them.
