Hi, I bought a lot of high power links, and I really think I should have ranked way higher than I am now for a keyword, since it low competition.

Does anyone know if there's any services on here that can give me the precise reason why?

    Thanks.

    there are many reasons.

The most important reason is how relevant is the site that has the backlink towards your site. I've noticed these last two weeks that this plays the most important part. Authority sites with related content placing a link towards your site can have "explosive results".

    Some other cases might be:
ratio of ******** - nofollow backlinks
ratio of anchor text your targeting
    links not being indexed yet.

Thanks, but even my old manually penalised site ranks higher for it. Not a high comp keyword by any means, but the links did boost me overall, just disappointed it didn't help me with the keyword.

You don't need a service for that as I can tell you why for free... you bought shit links; and since you don't rank, it looks like google agree with me.

It might be your Onpage SEO. No matter How powerful Links you have bought, if your On Page SEO is not in a precise manner the rankings wont be at your door step!

I agree, but I think it would be wise to check the value of the links as well. Also, I can check the on page quite easily as well. Actually, it's all quite easy to check yourself with this http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...h-engine-optimization-power-suite-2015-a.html

    Certain reason causes:

On page Opt not properly done
Links you bought are very less relevant
    Anchor text ratio

I checked in hrefs, its 19% anchor text for my target keywords, think I might need to dilute them.

OK, I believe you... you have the best links but google still disagrees with you.

Yesterday, I showed my girlfriend my site and she said that it was the best site she's ever seen... the rest of the people think my website is shit.

you're replying to the wrong post... I don't know what links OP has.

No its doesn't disagree, cuz im ranking for loads of long tails, except the main keyword I wanted. Even the page wanted to rank ranks for more longtails now than before.

That tells you that you have to many links with the target keyword in it.

    lol "power links."

    BHW translation
"I am #1 for several long tail keywords" = "I rank for garbage queries that no one uses"

I'm thinking it could be the culprit, will just diluting the anchors do the job?

...and finally someone who isn't out to just be a smart arse replied, well done!

As a last resort you can add your site to Webmasters tools and see if you receive any messages about possible penalties. Other than that, either your links arent powerful enough, your OnSite is off, or competition isn't in fact low.

I'd be happy to take a look at your site if you want.
