How can you tell which rank and place you are sitting at on google for a certain keyword, i know typing in the keyword and going through pages of google to find your web isent accurate because it must save cookies , even when i clear cookies and history it still shows my site in 5th on 1st page but im getting NO traffic, so whats a way i can find out where my site is really on google for a certain keyword

    Thank you

There are various pieces of software for this. One is called Rank Tracker and is available for free (I do not have the link at the moment, so either Google it or hopefully somebody here has it), or www.seobook.com has a Firefox plugin that can do it (I personally don't like that one as much, though). You can also try hitting CTRL+F5 in your browser. That will force the browser to refresh the page without using any of the cookies/cache.

How many monthly searches does your keyword get?

Actually searching google manually is the most accurate. You can avoid the cookie issue easily, if you've got chrome/firefox you can open up a tab in "private mode", then do a search on google.

For checking several, I like traffic travis.
