If you're doing backlink analysis so often, I think it's worth getting Majestic SEO or AHrefs.

Or, just ask someone who offers a service for backlink analysis within Majestic SEO.

You can do a search for this under " url backlinks analytics " and see a whole list of results for different software and services on the topic.

Try seobook's ' backlink-analyzer ' software. It is free and works great.

    http://tools.seobook.com/backlink-analyzer/

It is a great alternative and gives links that aren't as well recognized by other programs.

You can only go so far with searching an individual search engine for a specific site. IF you knowthe domain you want the backlinks for and if they are still catalogged within the respective search engine, the will show on:

    http://popuri.us/

Simply type in the url and it gives all of the backlinks to a site that register within google, yahoo, bing and a few social sites as well.

    Hope this helps out.

Looks like they discontinued that analyzer.

    From their site:

    What is/was Back Link Analyzer?

A free link popularity / link analysis tool. It shows what anchor text is linking into a page or site. For years it was powered by Microsoft Search data & the Yahoo! Search API. However, Microsoft stopped providing a public source of link data & Yahoo! recently discontinued their API. Thus the software can still be used to check/verify a list of links you already know of (such as reciprocal link trading parterns, or a list of links from another tool) however it is no longer functional for pulling backlink data from public search engines.

market samurai is best on this regards. I prefer that. However, you can try some addons as well. I think senuke or xrummer are good too.

I always use open site explorer, it's always a bit out of date for the data, but it's got a good amount of quality to it.

Well, the point was to use it for a linking research tool and not so much for their other ranking data, as they do list EVERY backlink if the site isn't de-indexed. I should have stated that in the original response, that I don't use it much for ranking data at all but for tracking links and seeing where the competitor has links and if they are crap or if they are legitimate ranking resources, directories and such.

I apologize for not being more clear on that about popuri.us.

@ BTB - yeah, I noticed they have discontinued the software for updates, however, it hasn't changed much from the original launch and never updated often, still maintaining accurate data for backlink tracking, as even with panda and all of the other changes going on, it still holds up fairly close to marketing samurai, which is great software but, has proven not to update as well as it should.

You can still get it on cnet and other free software downloaders and it works fine. Give it a shot.

No service is going to give you all the backlinks. If you want a detailed list you're likely going to have to use multiple products/services. SEO spyglass seems to be a popular one but I would add a paid subscription to majestic seo and ahrefs also if you want a pretty thorough list.

Sure you should use multiple services, resources and tools. That's a given.

Like when I stated " every backlink " , it was to reference all of the crap, as well as the rank building, legitimate links. Obviously, there is no service that would show them all...not yet anyway.

As for SEO splyglass, it is a good alternative and I've been a paid subscriber of their service for a number of years, however, off and on, as they tend to not backup as regularly as they should either...just as with any other service of the like.

Thanks for bringing up the point none the less, as it could be mistaken as being literally " every backlink ".
