Hi all,

Back to the million dollars question.. How Do I find good influencers? I'm not talking about bloggers with 3000 IG followers and I'm not talking about bots with 1M fake IG followers. Real people with real followers.
Everyone has a price tag. How do I get to celebrities and find out how much they want for an IG post?
Any tips / recommendations / help will be highly appreciated!
and have a happy blackfriday week ;-)

Thanks,
Genie

Hi Genie, Why do you want to find Instagram influncers? In my experience, youtube and facebook influncers have more effect on brand and conversion rate.

Talk to them. Send them a message. But do it after sharing and interacting properly for a while, to build trust.

I totally agree with you. I used IG as an example. It can be an influencer or social media or not. My experience also shows that IG influencers were not very fruitful whereas Facebook influenecers or posts in big and active Facebook groups brought more attention. Probably due to the fact that IG posts do not include links and it is very quick - Like and Go.... whereas FB posts include links and usually people spend more time on them.
I has many IG posts with hundreds of likes but no website visits at all.
I'm questioning what would be the best tool or process to use/follow to find real and relevant influencers. There's so much fake stuff out there.....

Let's say for example..... I want Leonardo Dicaprio (randomly chosen) to mention one of my brands on social media. Or even more than that, to be photographed by "paparazzi" with my product. How do I do that?

Big influencers will have managers. Search google for XXX celebrity manager. Or DM them directly on IG, FB, Youtube, etc., and ask to be contacted by their manager.
Don't just post up front "how much to shout my brand". You have to be very professional.

So I believe I won't find on the marketplace here someone that does celebrity influencers reach-out?? ;-)

I deal with large influencers, and honestly, would not promote nor accept to sell their services here on BHW. There are places to market services and brands. BHW is a great place for many things, but I doubt large influencers and celebrities would be a good fit.

Contact the celebrities you want directly through their agents, or DM them. No other way around it. I would really, really, doubt anyone selling celebrities/large influencer services here.

Go to the Socialblade top lists if you want the REAL influencers.

I can't sell. But how big do you mean? Plenty of people I know that are in various Facebook groups where you can ask for x,y or Z and ask them for engagement rates.
Micro influencers often work for free product.
So what's cheaper for reach?
Give 10 micro influencers with engaged fans 10 free products who promote it to 10k people, resulting in 400 saleams. Or pay someone thousands or tens of thousands and maybe just get 50 sales.

There is actually some good research on this (I think it was kim k) who was paid a huge sum to post sunglasses x2 and the company literally sold less than 10 pairs for a 6 figure sum because of the transient nature of her fans compared to the micro influencers who had a very engaged audience that actively bought from them.

Up and above that you can bring YouTube influencers on board up to about 10-100k subs for anything from £200 to £1500 plus product, depending on their niche and country.

I've got YouTube videos from 8 years ago that still get views. Insta doesn't offer that sort of longevity.

Just my 2 cents.

May I ask you, from your experience, how much (roughly) such a service would cost? 1K$/10K$/100K$?
Thank you so much! appreciate your feedback!!!

In my opinion, it really depends on the purpose of the exposure. I tend to agree that probably, the ROI for micro influencers would be higher. That is if you're looking for ROI (i.e sales that will cover the cost of the influencer and more). But, if you're aiming at building a brand name, than a mega celebrity could do that in a single post, or a single paparazzi photo. Micro influencers would never do that.

I think I was just focused on the ROI.
Could, Can and maybe are gambles I can't make. Great for brand building if cost isn't an issue.

Or just pay for premium?
Guessing the OP doesn't mind either spending a few bucks or paying someone else to do a bit of digging.
It shouldn't be hard to find medium size influencers.
But I think he wants Brad Pitt so it's a kinda moot point lol.

Unfortunately they only have top 100 (or 200) lists.

Leonardo Dicaprio! I'm not into Brad Pitt. LOL

Now seriously - This is a worthwhile discussion. What is the best approach to build a brand?
