I have like 8M domains list and I want to know how can I check the inactive domains from that list fast.

I have scrapebox but I'm not sure if I'm using it properly because it's showing me incorrect data for active and inactive domains.

Does anyone know of any method to quickly find inactive domains from a huge list?

Thanks

You can enter the keyword funnel..

1)set the filter to deleted domains which is sorted the results based on domain pop and it is number o domains linked to the listed domains..
2. You can sort the results based on the number of backlinks per majestic.

In scrapebox if your using the standard scrapebox domain availability checker its using basic DNS and WHOIS checking which is pretty accurate. its under the grab check menu in the upper right hand quadrant of the main scrapebox window. I would work in chunks of 500K to 1 million or smaller quantity of urls or less depending on your resources.

If you have the expired domain finder plugin then use the expired domain finder preview. It uses DNS, WHOIS and RDAP for maximum potential accuracy and it can churn thru your list.

Thanks for your answer :)

I am unable to find any plugin named "Domain Availability Checker" ... or is it named Domain resolver?

I can see http://www.scrapebox.com/domain-availability-checker its here but unable to find that in my scrapebox.. super weird or I am blind lol.

EDIT:

FOUND it lol.

Its not a plugin but its a feature under "Grab/Check >Check Unregistered domains"

My ram is 16gb and processor is 4790k 200mbps internet speed.

How many threads should I use and how much list size is okay?

Thanks loopline :)

Ah I see

Yes as in if I try to open that website it'll give me error saying the website doesn't exist. Basically it used to be a active site but owner did't renew it so its down.

You mean expired domains then. There's lots of tools for this, but you'll likely need to assemble your own toolbox to be successful.

Great glad you found it!

There are many things that affect it so its a little trial and error.

But I like to test small. Load up 10K urls test it, just as a test. If it works, great jump to 100K or 500K and try. Then try a million urls if you want.

As for threads I would try like 10 on the 10K list and then try 30 or 50 etc..
