Let's say I am making a sales copy for a fat loss ebook I am writing. How do you go about finding before/after transformation images of people you can use?

I see all these other fat loss and muscle building clickbank ebooks having transformation pictures of people when the product was just first launched yesterday!

Where do they get these images and how do they stay out of trouble?

If you can afford to pay a little for them, you can get high quality photos from istockphoto.com

If you don't find anything elsewhere, it might be a possibility to take a look on Facebook. Most people there would be honored to have their picture on a professional site, and you probably wouldn't have to pay more than 10$ AT MOST. They'd be happy with that, I'm sure.

    :D:D:D:D No need for that...

You only need pictures of "overweight" (fat sounds so ugly...) people and photoshop or morph them into cover material models.

In exchange for the edited pic they give you clearance to use it for marketing material.

It's a win-win situation as they receive a free personal pic for their online-dating....:D

I would go to muscle building or weight loss forums, and find some transformation pics, pm the person, and throw your idea out there... a lot of those people would love the idea of showing there body off, regardless of using that method or not.

If you have time and willingness to mess with the image a bit, here is a cool free site:

    Code:
    http://in20years.com/
Since your main demographic for weight-loss products is women who are middle-aged on up, simply take a photo of a younger woman, especially if you can find before and after shots, extract her face (in both shots), make it 20-30 years older with the "in20years" program, then put each now-aged face back in their respective pictures. If you change some minor things in the pictures like color, background, etc... voila! You have royalty-free before-and-after images that are not only royalty-free, they are all yours.

You could also play around by making the before shot age as a drug addict, and the after shot age normally to see if that helps emphasize the ugly-to-beautiful effect of weight-loss.
