You can use dupecop ( hxxp:w3.dupe*cop.c0m) if you are looking to compare two pieces of text and find out how unique the second piece is. I use it all the time when rewriting PLR - and its free !
    Hope that helps

Winmerge is powerful, and it`s free.

You even could use it to compare different php code version and sync something.

    Check snapshot in hxxp://winm*erge.org/2.8/screenshots.php
