    Hey all.

So after reading a recent article on ViperChill, he claims that the date that an article was posted greatly effects it's rankings. And looking at my recent niche site rankings, I believe him! He also said that he thinks there might be a way to fake the date. I was wondering if anyone was using this tactic and how they were doing it? Are you just changing the post date manually? Or is there a plugin? Or something else?

Thanks for your help if anyone has any answers :)

Does it mess with serps in any way?
Will Google consider it a new post so any ranking you already have on a post is lost ?

Examining the plugin, I see that it is rated to WP 2.8. You may want to look through the plugin and update it to make sure that it works with newer WP versions. Some of the modules have changed between version 2.8 and the current 3.6.
