Lets say you have 5 money sites and 40 personal PBNs.

If each of these 40 PBN's link to the same 5 money sites of yours, doesn't that create a massive footprint?

The only thing I can think of would be to link to random sites as well, but that would take a lot of time and lower link juice, and even then they are linking to the same place.

Other thing I thought of is to use 10 for one site, 10 for another site, 10 for another site, and never mix the money sites, but then you have to make a brand new PBN for each website.

What are your thoughts from people who have been using THEIR OWN pbns for awhile?

    Thanks

    It does.

    How to avoid it?

Make 1 PBN per money site. Solved.

Or, get stronger domains and add XY other outbound links on each website. Meaning you will have 5 + XY links there. Weaker domains with 20 - 30 OBL may not hold enough power at that point.

However, requirement for this is to have contextually relevant domains. So if your money sites are in 5 different niches and you write about 5 different niches on your money site, then that's very bad. It diminishes link juice and also creates a brutal footprint.

Gotcha that makes perfect sense, thanks for the great reply :)

So if I'm only using one PBN(of mulitple sites) per moneysite, would I make other articles on the home-page with links to wikipedia and stuff, or link out to other random niche sites as well on the homepage. Obviously don't want too many OBL or it will dilute the link juice.

Let's just skip wikipedia. There are shittons of other sites you can link within the niche. If I were a manual reviewer and saw wikipedia and some random outbound link to money site, I would penalise the crap out of the site.

Also, having everything on homepage is one of the biggest footprints. 90% of all the domains that have full homepage articles are either mommy blogs or PBNs. Almost nobody does it. It looks like shit. You can have some PBNs made with full homepage, but keep it below 10%. With the rest, link normally from inner pages. If your PBN site structure is fine and interlinked properly, then the benefit will be almost the same. It's better to play it safe.
