    Hi,

I have a site hosted on GoDaddy which doesn't have cpanel. I need to download the site to my PC then compress it and email it to the new owner. GoDaddy said use filezilla but I haven't a cue how to do it.
Does anyone have a suggestion how I can do this?

    Thanks a lot.

You don't need any software for that - do you have cPanel hosting? If so, just select all of the site's files and use the compress option in the top right corner. That will create a compressed archive of the site which you can then download and send to the buyer.

Login to Godaddy. Find the FTP option, make an account.

    Now open firefox. Install fireftp.

Click make an account from the left side top. Add in the details that godaddy gave you from that FTP creation page.

    Press connect.

You would get through and will be seeing your files in the right pane. Drag and drop them to your left pane, which is your computer. Zip them and mail it to me :D

or Hire me lol :D I have enough time to do these :D

Also, make sure you backup your MySQL if you're using Wordpress or some other content management system.

what kind of site is it?

    Do it have a database?

In that case you need to export the database to.

Get filezilla, connect to the ftp information for godaddy and download everything on that domain that you will be giving away then zip it and maiil it to the new owner
