How to download a whole website and then edit the html?

    Can you please suggest me a software in order to do that?
    After downlad the website and files and images I want to edit the HTML

    httrack for downloading the site, then alleycode for editing the html files.
    Works for me every time.

    Thank you very much.
    In order to edit the html files may I use my even another editor? Like MICROSOFT WEB EXPRESSION for example.

    Yes any text editor will allow you to edit html files, I personally like alleycode but there are countless options out there.

    Just grab the source and use any editor program. A free web editor is NVU. It is basically the same thing as the old Microsoft frontpage.

    open the file in your favorite text editor. make the changes. notepad will do but notepad++ and sublime text are two popular alternatives.
    if you just want to look at it , open the downloaded file in your browser and inspect the code same way you inspected it last time.

    Wow, just use teleport pro, it downloads a exact copy of the domain and then lets you go in and edit whatever you want.
