First time using FB ads. I thought I'll just give it a try by direct linking with FB ads. But there's this conversion pixel that FB wants me to put on my website and it won't continue until I do that. It's not possible to do that if I am direct linking to the CPA offer. I thought if I change the optimization from 'conversions' to 'impressions' then it would no longer require that but it didn't make any difference.

So what's the solution? Or is direct linking not possible?

    Hi!

The Facebook pixel is especially useful in those cases when you want the social platform to optimize your ad by conversions.

    Why?

Because you'll be able to trigger that same pixel when the user engages in a pre-designated action (usually a purchase, or a CPA signup).

However, you're not obligated to have the pixel activated on your website. Moreover, you can actually run a "website clicks" campaign and create an optimization that's performed by clicks.

I'm not sure about the direct linking subject. What you can do is get an appealing pre-lander for your campaign. You can also add your FB pixel there, if you want.

Facebook is awesome since it allows you to have huge reach and explore your target audience, as you can target a specific groups of users - those who are likely to convert.

    Hope this helped!

    Cheers!
