How to delete duplicates in excel?

    Hello, I can delete duplicates in textmechanic tool, but in excel, I have another column which is corresponding to this column, how do I delete duplicates in excel. Please be detail, I search google but couldn't follow for some reason. Thanks

    There is literally a delete duplicates button on the data tab....

    Yes, I just followed what google is telling, but the problem is, it doesn't delete entire row, it deletes only that rows in the column I select and therefore the corresponding between rows break, if I select both columns, then it doesn't find any duplicates. Or is this not possible to do what I'm trying to do.

    Replace duplicates with a variable or word

    Sort sheet by A-Z or something, then select those with this variable and delete them.

    CTRL+H and sorting by A-Z will help, hope )
    You can sort by A-Z at first, make some changes in each line which should stay in file, for exmaple by adding & -symbol and the next CTRL+H and replace another duplicate lines to nothing or just delete it.

    Solved, in the data tab, click advanced, and select unique records, this way, it removes data from both the columns.
