    Hi guys,

    I'm in a big problem. I purchased Scrapebox last week when I was on a break from my college, and I used it at home without any issue. However, now that I'm back in college, I can't seem to connect to the scrapebox servers. Our college internet uses Authenticated proxy settings, and I can't seem to find any option in scrapebox that supports anything like that.

    I got the same problem with Market Samurai, but Market Samurai had a connection settings feature where I went and added the proxy and the login details. I need to find a way to do this with scrapebox too, else my money on scrapebox is wasted. :(

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    You have to enter proxies in format ip:port:user:pass

    Hey nickk, yeah I did it like that in Market Samurai. But where do I do this on scrapebox? Please know that I'm not talking about the proxies that I am using to send trackbacks or post comments. I'm talking about the proxy that I must go through in order to connect my laptop to the scrapebox servers...

    If you mean in order to get authenticated for the program try to enter proxy at IE and check if this is applicable.

    I'm pretty sure that Scrapebox doesn't check your IP address on startup for license verification, but the license is locked to a single computer. If you're using the same laptop at home as you did at college, there shouldn't be any problem.

    As a check, try:
    Scrapebox -> Help -> Test Server Connection

    If you're in any doubt, contact support, or try a license transfer:
    Scrapebox -> Help -> How to transfer a license.

    You can't install scrapebox in 2 different pc's if this is finally what you asking for.

    No, I just installed scrapebox on my laptop and I brought the same laptop here. Whenever I turn on scrapebox, i get a dialogue box saying the following:

    "Unable to access any scrapebox server at the moment. Please try again in a moment."

    I've been trying to get this working for the last three days but nothing works. There isn't a problem with their servers, as I checked. I have market samurai and traffic travis working on the same connection, but both of them gave me an opportunity to add authenticated proxy if possible, however scrapebox didn't.

    I did add the proxy settings for IE, however IE does not ask for the username and password. I believe this might be the reason why scrapebox is not getting through to the servers as it isn't allowed a connection to the internet.

    Anyone knows a way around this?

    There's a few things you could try:

    * Try forcing SB to authenticate from the backup server:
    - Shutdown SB
    - Goto SB folder -> Configuration -> scrapebox.ini
    - Change:
    ServerReverse=0
    to
    ServerReverse=1

    - Save scrapebox.ini
    - Restart SB

    Failing that:
    * Contact SB support.
    * Contact your college IT dept, and ask them to give SB access.
    (and remember to change scrapebox.ini setting back to it's original value)
