    Hi,

I have a question which I hope someone can help with as I have been stuck on it for ages.

So I have my disavow file which contains multiple domain level disavows in one file.

I then download my latest backlinks from WMT.

I now want to be able to remove backlinks from my latest backlinks file if they have already been disavowed. Then I should have a file containing all of the backlinks which are not disavowed.

I have found programs which allow you to remove a line if it contains a certain phrase, which would work but I would obviously have to do it for each domain that is in the disavow file which would take ages. So does anyone know of a quick and easy way of achieving this?

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I found an easy tool to do this, I cant post URLS but it's called TextMechanic Remove Lines Containing. You have to enable regular expression search and then use the format (domain.com|domain2.com|domain3.com). You can also use other tools from the same website to create the regular expression for you, Add Prefix Suffix to Text and Add Remove Line Breaks.

I'm surprised some of the backlink monitor tools haven't included a function to allow you to add in a disavow file so that it ignores certain backlinks. Would be a great feature considering it's something most webmasters are having to use now.

You're surprised cause you're using either free tools or tools that are there for backlink monitoring. what you need is a real off-page audit tool, and this costs money.

Yeah, you're probably right. What are these expensive tools then?
