This is probably the hardest part of opening a website or blog for me. I am looking to open a website focused on all things guys or men like. Topics are sports, woman, beer, etc...

I am having a hard time. Suggestions?

Its hard to come up with something that doesnt sound gay. Almost.

thats a pretty broad question. i dun think anyone can help you out with this one.
it sounds like you wanna create an autority site on the niche, but the problem is, your niche is extremely broad. i think its too broad. might have to look back into the drawing board.

Do some research on established sites similar to what you want to develop and take it from there. Oh, and there's also a free tool from the makers of MSamurai, it's called domainsamurai and you can get it free by adding a dot com to it's name.

I dont understand what you mean. Doesnt a website get ranked quicker if you include keywords? Wouldnt that men the more keyword on my site the better?

So if I add more topics I can include more keywords in my articles or posts.

    Is this right?

I'd say you try to base your choices on research, or a very reputed, experienced and helpful member willing and able to help (which there are lots around :) ). I'd gladly help you, since I know a lot about domains, but the thing is your particular niche is somewhat alien to me and I'd probably do a disservice by choosing a rather girlie (or as you put it, not-so-manly sounding) name.

Yeah but, you can still innovate. You can build off it. There are many more of these as well.

It is a fact that good and short domain names has already been taken by others. However, you can still find some good domain names which contains atleast one of your targeted keyword. You can also get a long tail domain name which are used by most of the businesses, which helps them to get targeted visitors.

I have a site in the lifestyle niche which is a pretty broad term so my domain is longtail
and my pages are optimized for the individual keyword so I have sitename/diet, sitename/homefinance ect. I have contextual backlinks to each individual page and all pages link to my homepage and interlink. It ranks well for most keywords some are harder then others
    depending on competition.
