Anyone know any cool scripts for a form I can use to collect subscribers emails without signing up to one of those Mail services like Aweber or MailChimp?

I just want a form where people can enter their email - it will send it somewhere for me to look at later - and the user will be directed to a page.

Don't want to pay $40 a month for that. There must be some script that does it.

When creating a webform with GetResponse, you can do exactly that. Sign up for GetResponse, enable single-optin, work with the 30 days no-commitment-trail, download your list into a .XLS, start again. It's that simple.

    Two different options.
    Mailchimp(free up to 2,000 subscribers)
    or
any contact form plugin/software will do work, including Google Forms.

If you know a bit of programming you could make this in no time.
I'd say you could do it with 50-60 lines of PHP. And that is making it pretty at the same time.

Or else you could find some kind of plugin if you are using a CMS.

wordpress got many plugins that can do that. You can redirect them to a sub domain that has wordpress on it just so you can run a plugin and get the emails.

Simple answer, perfect solution! A little mysql to store it and you're done.
