How do you check where you website is in search results --- not just page rank - where it is for keywords?

I've searched all over - I dont see how you can see where you are for a keyword - apart from searching google - sorry for noob question

and thanks for patience : ):flypig:

I use traffic travis to check my ranking for one or more keywords.Traffic travis is shared here in this forum.
After starting the programme, in the home page you will see a category called "search engine tools" in this category theres a sub category called "position and ranking".Click it and you will see a option for adding project .add a project name and you will given a option to input your domain name, keywords and number of pages you want to check.Thats all.If u still have a prob just shoot me a PM.

If you don't want to use one of the serp checkers another method is to type in your keywords at scroogle.org/cgi-bin/scraper.htm pick 100 results and search for your keywords. I then just hit ctrl f and type in the name of my domain and see where I'm at.

What's nice about scroogle is the links are all numbered so it's easy to quickly see. The results are from google.

Look in the White Hat SEO forum, (the one you started this thread in) and look at the sticky threads. There's one called "Some Links to help you out". You'll find what you're looking for in that thread along with many other useful tools.

There's a reason they make threads sticky.
You should check them out in all the forums. :)

In SENuke, you goto Rank Tracker.
    Then Add domain
    Add keywords in bottom right
    Update rank data

When I first run it, I increase Search Depth to 1000 and include Yahoo and Bing. That way you will see where your KW's rank up to 1000 on each search engine and you can adjust search depth for next time.

Whats good here, if you check your rank regulary, is that it will graph your results over time and you can see how much your increasing or decreasing rank.

It will do the same for Backlinks, track over time to see if they drop or rise,

Additionally, I goto Analytics and find the keywords im being searched for and add those to MS. Then I try and BL them so they rank better as well.

    Good luck
