So, I found this expired domain from expireddomains.net

6 Majestic External Backlinks
373 SEOkicks Domain Pop
2016
6
Archive.org Number of Crawl Results
Domain Authority: 19

Is this a good domain for my new ecommerce store?
What else do I have to consider and avoid?
Please guide me through this.

Check majestic CF and TF. Go through the backlinks profile on majestic, open site explorer or any other backlinks research tool. Check if the profile is clean i.e. no spam, porno etc. Check if the domain have a clean history in Archive.org.

If you want some rule of thumb price range, then post the number of referring domains.

And nobody will guide you through this, it's been repeated here over and over again, at least 3 times a week.

And just to expand on what you asked.

All the domian pop crap/metrics mean jackshit in reality.

Go through the 6 odd links the site has manually, are they indexed? are they low obl? does the site rank (external pages)?

Because you've only got one domain doing it manually won't hurt. But the metrics alone tell you nothing, put your Sherlock Holmes hat on and go to work, son.

If you're not willing to spend time going back through Wayback Machine to check for yourself, buy domains from a seller who does all the leg work for you.

dude... it only has 6 archive results, if you can't be bothered to do that you should just leave IM.

With PR already removed (it's internal at the moment), the only other metrics that we can still use are TF, DA/PA, etc. Although these metrics may not be 100% conclusive over the link power/juice, still they are indicators that you can use to justify whether that domain is worth your time to look in depth.
Normally, I would use TF>25 , DA/PA>35 as the main primary indicator. If the domain meets that primary indicator, the I will perform a lookup on the link profile. If that site has good links, eg, from news sites, high DA/PA/TF sites, then it would definitely be worth it to invest into that domain.
If that site has spammed links, then don't buy that, as it's just a used domain that was previously used for such spamming purpose.
